Version 5 of Twitterrific is on it's way, we've completely rethought the app from scratch and part of that was revisiting the app icon as well. Ollie has gotten a lovely makeover to be more smooth, simple and stylish.
Loving the new smooth style. I noticed the difference right away and it's a welcome change. I hope the app reflects the stellar work of the icon as well. :D
@David Lanham Thanks, that's good to know. Not to prod you on your icon process, but generally do you start at 1024/2048px and design at 50 or 25%? Or do you work at 512px and scale 2X?
I wonder how design workflows will change when retina-ready Photoshop is released. It's clear that Apple is ignoring the small sized icons at this point: http://cl.ly/image/2m462A180e3g

Love it, very smooth and clean. Glossy head feels strange to me. Overall - great work @David Lanham! :D

David is this done in Illustrator or Photoshop? Or both?
Regardless, stunning.

I've totally switched to Photoshop for icon work, the results are so much smoother overall.

@David Lanham Do you still use illustrator for complex path work on the icons and then import to Photoshop?

The level of details is just stunning!

@Eli Schiff Not usually unless it's a shape photoshop just doesn't do. I can generally get Photoshop to do what I need though.
