Logo proposal for a fitness program called "iTake5". Short description of it: iTake5 creates high quality, professionally taught five-minute fitness videos with a website, app, and smart logic platform that guides the client in their fitness journey just like a personal trainer would. Instead of a random, five-minute “quick workout” targeting certain body parts, iTake5 is making the five-minute workout an ongoing training experience and lifestyle.
Since it's still a WIP phase, do you have any comments on the color set or the structure/readability itself? Thanks!
I can read it! I would just be concerned about the left side of the T. It seems a bit short, but I can't really think of anything to remedy that. Maybe the dot on the i needs to become more of an addition to the T? But then maybe the i would lose legibility... hmph.
The one issue I'm having is that the darkness of "Take" is dominating enough to obscure the "i". I totally read it twice in a row as just "Take5". Everything else is working nicely, though. Love the way the 5 is worked into the end, as well as I just love the name in relation to what the product is ("Take 5" being normally used as a phrase about taking a break, but in this case you're taking five to get fit, clever!).
Your designs usually makes me drop my work and just be mesmerised by your skill and cleverness, since nearly all of your designs are the smartest thing since sliced bread. If I had 25% of your skills I could die as a happy man.
Anyway, I am commenting because for once I dont think this is an awesome design. It is good, but is it good enough? ;) The whole feels unbalanced, messy, and too complex. I guess it fails to send a single, clear message?
@Casey Kleypas crazy thanks!
@Damaris Alfonso thank you! We played with that part a lot and it's all about the space between I and T after all. If it gets any bigger than this entire setup just gets unbalanced. This way, it also shows a hint of a human figure stretching.
@Roydon Misseldine thank you, I'm a fan of that 'fake lower case' K myself :)
@Jeff Koromi it's actually a biggest challenge here: how to make people who used the phrase "Take 5" their entire life to now switch to "iTake5" just like that :) Client is aware of that and I'm here to help solve that visually.
@bas thanks bud!
@Jord Riekwel love your comment man, it felt like winning a gold medal at Olympics which was followed by a kick in the groins from the same person that just put it over my head :)
I know what you mean and I kinda agree with you bud, but this is really a very complex task with a lot of obstacles on the road to making it work so 'good level' will actually be 'awesome level' if I just make it readable enough this time.
Sorry for leaving your jaw where it is now, but thank you for the medal, even with some groin pain it still feels very nice, thanks a lot buddy! :)
Haha, sorry dude. Nearly everything you touch turns in to gold. I totally understand the fact that this is a super complex task, unknown to us Dribbblers.

Client just approved this logo, with a slightly more red-ish color. Stay tuned for the website link! :)
