Hello everyone, this is our first dribbble! We're very happy to be here among such talented designers.
This icon was created for one of our wordpress themes, WebStudio, destined for designers & creative professionals that need a easy to use showcase portfolio.
A couple of pointers: I think the "Studio" word looks a bit weird, maybe make the curve a bit straighter and instead try to compress it a bit more at the end, so that it looks more like it is going to the back in a 3d sense. Also, there must have been a lot of paint on the tip of the cursor, seeing that it is dripping so much. You could maybe get rid of the vertical drib and just leave a drop flyin downwards.
As a nitpick point, the can seems perfectly closed, no way the cursor could have been inside it before... maybe just rotate the lid and push it a bit to the side, so that it is apparent that the can has been opened. Again, this is just me over-analyzing it...
thanks guys for the feedback, we really appreciate it.
@Miro: the fact is that this icon is only used as a 80x80 px thumbnail, where such details don't really get spotted, so we didnt want to spend too much time overdoing the fine details. If we decide to use it at bigger sizes, than we'll sure polish the details.
