Really liking it man... lovin' that purple!
one point I wasnt keen on was the cutout of the image... could you not just drop the info box over it a bit like http://jrutlanddesign.co.uk/GG-dribbbleidea/idea.png ?

I'm loving the colour scheme.
Feedback and questions:
1. What is the purpose of the empty purple bar at the top of the page?
2. In the menu, where 'Popular' is selected, I don't think it needs the arrow as well as the surrounding (might just be my opinion).
3. I would also perhaps change the white text colour of 'Popular' to something darker. Maybe purple or a darker grey than the idle state?
4. Enlarge the cog (settings) icon next to 'Worldwide' - I didn't know it was there.
Other than that, I'm liking it so far!

I actually love this mate. I think Id prefer it more if it was a full screen application. Maybe the flossin sidebar on the left and the rest on spanning the full right? Just a suggestion. Looks grand though!

I was thinking what @Stuart Regan mentioned, the white text on Popular is a little hard to read, would be cool to see in Purple?
Also, the input box for 'Join the conversation' it feels a little weird not being full width, would be good to know why its slightly shorter in width.

I'm not so keen on the position of purple border on the nav to show that the link is selected. I think it conflicts too much with the 'Near Me', 'Nightlife' bar.
How does it look if you move it from the right side of 'What's flossin?' to the left?

Ok this is really, really nitpicky, but the triangle that goes into the map and into the image has a rectangular tip when it should be slightly rounded instead. In addition to what was already mentioned, this is a very nice design.
