Sepia Solutions is a digital asset management service provider that delivers VOD (video on demand) assets to different platforms.

The sepia was build from 2 face to face uppercase S letters. The tentacles are also made from S letters.

Also, “sepia” is the what the ink in squids are called…

@Mark Davis I did my best to get closer to this species image not to reproduce it one to one in a illustrative manner. Keep in mind the double S that forms the shape and also consider this image http://digital-photography-school.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/sepia-image-1.jpg

Sepia is a genus of cuttlefish in the family Sepiidae encompassing some of the best known and most common species. The cuttlebone is relatively ellipsoid in shape. The name of the genus is the Latinized form of the Ancient Greek σηπία, sēpía, cuttlefish.

Cephalopod ink is a dark pigment released into water by Sepia cuttlefish. So back to Sepia species. :)

Nice research. However, the term “ sepia-tone” did come from using said cephalopod Ink in the printing process, which I am assuming the company is using sepia in reference to sepia-tone if anything.
Maybe an abstracted logo from the cuttlefish would be interesting? It would be fascinating to see a stylized logo derived from the eye of the cuttlefish… that could be fairly unique.

@Mark Davis Yes but using shapes like that would rob the logo of uniqueness & would render it less recognizable. Statistically there's more people that will probably recognize the shape of a squid, rather than its eye. Because, let's face it, when was the last time you saw/looked at a squid/sepia eye ? :)
@Alex Tass I would try to make it more like a squid/sepia and less like a octopus. That would mean adding some pyramid shaped thinggie on top of the head. The approach is there, it just needs to be refined one smidge more. :) Great work btw !
