Always have been a fan of the "formerly-known-as-Metro" style! Just love the simplicity. You have a typo on "New commetns" though and I do not understand very well how the timeline at the bottom works with the search and bottom-right icons on top of it. Is this for Surface :) ?
Not trying to be picky, just giving feedback and whatnot.

I really like the direction but I feel like there is zero visual hierarchy in the design. By not having an hierarchy it takes away from the simplicity of Metro style.
