Some work I did a while back (at 160over90) for a University of California campaign briefly covered in today's Brand New post.

Slowed down and re-uploaded, as per Daryl Ginn's request.

@Bobby McKenna When you were at the agency, how much of your stuff got rejected? Just curious.

The blog post said there was no design credit given, did 160over90 flesh out this new identity system?

@Amber Asay I think it was a collaboration between 160 and UC's in-house team, although I may be off base. What you see above was the extent of my involvement.

The state outline on red feels very draplin-esque to me. Cool stuff.

The visual identity featured on Brand New was not a collaboration between 160/90 & UC. It was all designed internally.

Onward California campaign proposals, such as this one, were rejected because they ignore the brand already established before UC reached out to 160/90. It is super cute — but it disregards the client's brand.

Thanks for the insight, Natasha. Like I said, my involvement was pretty limited. I think I did all of these in a day.

I do seem to remember @Michael Smith working a fair bit on the UC brand. Maybe he can shed some light on 160's involvement?

Always hated blue and yellow symbiosis, but, must say, this looks great! =)

@Natasha Foote is right. We had nothing to do with any of the stuff on brand new. Except that truck at the end of the post was an idea we pitched that they modified in execution.

The video done to explain the use of the brand is beautiful! I loved it, clear and simple.
