Side menu for an app I'm working with.

Solid job, but I prefer 2px strokes when I'm designing for retina. Also, why the black rectangle behind the top bar?
@Ari Thanks! I sometimes do 2px. But it looks really nice sometimes with 1px. I did not crop out the black background yet, which is why you are seeing this.
Not sure about this part: http://cl.ly/image/2s3d301o0Z3C and the fact there's content in the side menu.
Looking great man!
@Guillaume Gaubert yes, thinking about a solution for this. I dont want the UI behind this to bleed thru when its closed.
@Eric Hoffman @Guillaume Gaubert I usually round the corners of both panels in my designs. :)
@Ari Thought of that, but like it not rounded. We will see.
@Ari check the attachment now :) Still not sure about it.
@Eric Hoffman Looks a lot better! :)
awesome work like always, I loved the way you're using grain effect in this app & specially the "circle" cancel button, so inviting! keep it up & inspiring @Eric Hoffman TREND MAKER.
every time you dribbble, you inspire me to put fireworks back in my dock for a few futile hours. i need to commit. also, your disclosure indicators are hot.
Gosh this is gorgeous @Eric.
I reall like it now (without that small black corner) :) Only think i`m wondering about is the number of noise. Maybe its too heavy maybe not cant test it on the real device, but you are pro so its should be perfect even there! :)
Looking good @Eric Hoffman
Only suggestion I have would be to tighten up the alignment of the icons. http://cl.ly/L0v8
Love the colors on this one - purpleysh' colors are tricky but you nailed it.
The only issue I see on this comp is on the "My collections" sliding photos - wouldn't that be a weird interaction when the user accidentally taps and slides the right page instead of the pics being these too so close together? (http://cl.ly/L0C4/o)
I say this because I found myself sliding these things almost from the edge of the screen and that may be a very annoying Interaction problem you'll have to deal later on.
I agree with @Samuel Couto, I also don't know if I like the dark shadow that lays over the top of the photos. If this is content that is meant to be interacted with, shouldn't it be clear and not obscured by darkness/shadow?
