Just finished this background/environment for Dexter Startdust. Lots of interactive stuff.
*Spoiler* - the bookcase recedes into the wall (aka - a hidden doorway) to reveal another room. - Check out the attached image to get the full shot.
I don't use 3D programs to create the environments. All of my backgrounds are hand drawn in Sketchbook Pro, using the good ol' perspective point.
