Just a quick idea for a simple login. The avatar can load on demand based on the details the user inputs. Also if there are cookies, you could pre-store the username/avatar

Looking cool Chris. The only thing I'm not sold on is the different color of the password input. I also like the omission of a submit button.
My brain makes me also hear a typing keyboard sound whilst watching this gif...
Love it! How do you lot make GIF's like this though?
@Sean Geraghty Hey dude, thanks :-). I use the timeline(used to be animation) panel on Photoshop. Check it on youtube, there's loads of tutorials.
@Chris Robinson alright mate thanks :)
Brilliant. I like the suggestion that the arrow gives around signing "in" - and at what point it appears - but I'm wondering if that little piece of art could be more instructive in needing to hit "enter" to submit. Maybe art that suggests the enter key more specifically? IDK. Was a quick thought and wanted to offer it.
Nice stuff man!
Clever idea. I'd like to build this.
Definitely love the idea. I'm a bit concerned about showing the display photo on login though. Maybe I'm being paranoid but it could pose a security threat in some scenarios.
Let's say I would want to hack someone's account but don't know their username and password. If I would type in a username I think is correct and then see the display, that would only act as a conformation that I'm on the right path.
GoSquared have a very similar thing with the avatar. Type in your email address here: https://www.gosquared.com/login - and it will instantly pull through your Gravatar.
