This past Friday we launched a new http://brianhoffdesign.com – fresh with case studies across your desktop, ear (phones) and toilet-time (tablets) devices.
already visit the site and love it :) one thing that I found it's bit hard to see more details, I expected the details will come when I click the image on the teaser.. but I need to click on "+" first which bit small button.
Good point @bady. Like the idea of also being able to click on the "teaser" image. WIll be implementing a round of changes and fixes this week so it's definitely on my to-do list. Thanks.
The landing page looks nice enough from what I could tell, but I can't get passed the "WE RESHAPE, RETHINK, & REDEFINE DIGITAL EXPERIENCES" text.
Clicking on the "x" doesn't work here (Lion 10.7.5 with Safari 6.0.2) doesn't do much at the moment :)
p.s.: emptying my cache did the trick... never mind :) And it looks great by the way! Navigation takes some serious getting used to with the lack of text and otherworldly navigation-style, but once you get used to it it really is very nice :)
Some cool interactions, lots of nice little surprises.
That splash screen when you first hit the site though - you might consider being able to click on the whole modal instead of just the tiny "x" at the bottom, it's not super intuitive.
Something else I noticed is that since the URL never changes between pages, it's not really search-engine friendly, and individual pages are not bookmark-able.
@Pete Ryan I'll keep on eye on / if there are similar reactions to the size of the 'x'
As for the URL, because of the way the site moves about we had to compromise slightly. We hopefully made it super easy to get to all the pages though through our various nav items.

Nice work, Brian. Love the site! I noticed what may be a small typo on the 'about' screen. Do you mean to say 'copywriting' here?

@Ted Goas Yes and thanks. Should be fixed now. Good eye.

@Brian Hoff Some of the iMac images are cut out weird. Seem to have crude pixelation around the corners and base. Site is great!

@Jeremiah Adkins Thanks. We noticed that as well. It appears to be a save for web degrade. Adding to the the "fix list" :)

little typo on the bottom of the Breadcrumb page in the green area that says they were bought by Groupon.. You're missing an "R" in breadcrumb.

Agree with @Pete on both points - "x" and SEO.
Really cool interaction @Brian! Your portfolio really stands out.

Matt Kump?
You really dig orange and blue-grey eh?
Lovely site. The small x was really annoying though… I should just be able to click anywhere.

Oh this is amazing. Great work @Brian Hoff, love to see the creativity behind this design.

@Matt Kump? Orange? Not sure I have orange in this site at all.

@Brian Hoff I meant in the client work. I see a consistent theme across your portfolio (not that it's a bad thing… just caught my eye)
Still, great job. Dig it.

@Matt Kump?? Ahhh! Yes. I guess most of my clients existing branding either happens to be red or blue.
