The word 'Shelf' feels like it needs nudging about 4/5 pixels to the right.
Is the shadow on the books and the shelf consistent, feels a little like the shadow on the black book falls to the right only whereas the shelf has no shadow to the right... :?

Regarding the comments about the logo and text: They are controlled from the theme itself, so the user would specify a custom logo and title (or choose to the hide the title). Either way, they aren't tied together and needed to be flexible enough to accomodate different logo / text combinations.

Love the idea. Would like to see more of a cast shadow from the ledge though. Looking at the spines of the books, it appears your light source is pretty right on so maybe just a brief 30 degree cast shadow would look nice.

Move the books to align with the Shelf text,
the giant 'Shelf' on the background seems too much in this small shot

Saw this Shelf theme yesterday and didn't realize it was your work until now. Fantastic job, sir. I normally shy away from anything that scrolls left and right on the web, but the shelf paradigm works so well here that I forget about my urge to scroll down.
