The leather and metal look awesome. Is this 100% in photoshop?

Well done! The stop watch would benefit a lot from a stronger shadow and throwing back some raycasts (brightening up the upper portion of the background). Other than that, really cool! Added to my awesome app icons bucket :D

Everything here is very well rendered, but there's far too many elements here. Binder, book, pages, tabs, ribbon, watch, clasp, stitches. Materials here are leather, metal, paper, fabric, plastic, silk.

I understand that this may be your finished piece and you're probably unable to change it for the client. I also recognize that if this is what you wanted, then you have every right to ignore my comment and continue rendering things beautifully. But in my opinion, this ceases to be an icon and becomes a complex illustration.

Less materials, less objects, and more bold imagery would go a long way to make this icon recognizable instead of the complicated drivel that it comes across to me as.

I agree with Louie. This really should be just one idea. This would make a much stronger and memorable icon. Nicely rendered though.

Each element by itself is really well executed, but I also have to agree with Louie. I also feel like there are too many mixed perspectives. If you're going to put that much depth on the right side of the icon, it should dictate the perspective for the rest of the icon. The watch almost feels like it was created for another icon, and plopped onto this one.

    Just my 2 cents.

Looks like a pretty good icon to me ...

When you use this as an icon, I'd give my left leg in a bet that this will look sweet. Well done.

@Aaron Stezycki It looks good yes, but it doesn't fulfill the roles of an icon very well, number one is being recognizable. There are too many individual parts to make one stand out enough.

@Louie Mantia, Thanks for your comment in detail. Your comment has its place like other comments do.
