Oddly enough, the way I want it to work is so specific that I'm just going to hand-code the whole site and use no CMS. It's almost too much work to bend it to a CMS.
I launched it and ended up molding Textpattern to the design. Generally, TXP has always been able to execute what I need to do. I did start on a hand-coded solution but then realized I did want to do a proper archive, so away it went. It's odd though at how much I used to hand-code this site when it was a regular journal circa 2000 till about '04, when it went into MT.

Reviving the first and original domain. Bad kerning on this one.

Hell yes, Vitesse.
Unintentional and unfortunate rhyme aside, it’s great to see Absenter again. I’ve missed it.

I think that's often a very solid idea. Some times low tech (or no tech) is the easiest solution.
