I really like what you've done here – simple, modern, maintaining the google personality.
oh i love this google logo!
Like the sans-serif treatment. You don't need the stem on the first O. Since search is so associated with Google, the magnifying glass metaphor is redundant and distracting.
I agree with Chanpory Rith, also the little "g" needs a redesign :)
i like this, very nice work!
Might be of interest ;)
Very cool! One thing that you must not forget is that Google isn't only for searching. Think mobile and automotive sector too. But that being said, I still love it!
Don't necessarily agree with you @Chanpory, I think it would be cool as the specific mark for the "search" division of Google's services, but maybe not as the main corporate logo.
Love the minimalist look.
Thanks all for the comments.
@Stuart L Crawford : Nice take on the redesign, and an interisting read.
@Chanpory Rith : Agreed the magnifier might be a bit distracting but could work as an icon on its own.
I tried a more subtle approach in the attachment.
Yes! I like it!
I like it!
How do you see this logo for Google Maps? Because its focused on search.
Cross stroke on the e is a little thin, would be nicer overall if the e was more round than oval.
This feels more playful than their current logo and too search-specific to me. In my opinion, Google's current logo is already about as playful as you can get while still being taken seriously, and they need something that can work with all of their many services.
I like this way more than any of their doodles, or their regular brand
Makes you realise how yuck the current serif really is. Dig the concept!
Very clever :)
