   Like the sans-serif treatment. You don't need the stem on the first O. Since search is so associated with Google, the magnifying glass metaphor is redundant and distracting.

   Very cool! One thing that you must not forget is that Google isn't only for searching. Think mobile and automotive sector too. But that being said, I still love it!

    @Chanpory Rith : Agreed the magnifier might be a bit distracting but could work as an icon on its own.

    This feels more playful than their current logo and too search-specific to me. In my opinion, Google's current logo is already about as playful as you can get while still being taken seriously, and they need something that can work with all of their many services.
