Just playing around with some ideas for a more "playful" version of a logo for {e}house. You know, because we aren't always so serious. Needed to keep the brackets so they are in the outside shape...
    Feedback appreciated.

Love the way you incorporated the brackets! What do you think about shortening the bowl of the "E" on house. It feel like the two e's are fighting each other. Maybe just take the down slope out of it, and shorten the tail a bit?

Like the fact that you didn't lose the brackets completely. That s to e is a little weird. The shape of the big e is cool, but I don't know if I recognize it because I know the name already.

Can definitely see a more playful {e}house brand working though.

Would be nice if the "e" could stand alone in that kind of shape too as another homage to the original.

thanks for the feedback, guys. I agree with both and the hand type definitely needs a bit of work.
@Mike Rogers if we went with something like this, we definitely wouldn't lose the original simple mark. We would just modify the styleguide and where was appropriate to yse each.

I'm wondering if people would read it as "e-house"? Maybe that doesn't matter. Did you investigate using a line around the perimeter of the shape, either on the outside or inside?
