Maybe it's just me but the buttons on the phone come off as jaggies rather than buttons to me. I think it would be alright to leave them off. Looks hot though!
I have to agree with Josh. I don't own an iPhone, so I didn't even know there were buttons there. Of course, every pixel Shaun places has a purpose, so I knew they must have been intentional, but it's still a little odd.
I'm sad to lose the "exclusivity" of following Mimeo on Dribbble, but I'm sure it's much easier to highlight different types of content now. Thanks for taking us on the journey, Shaun.
@Marty, that was my initial thought too. 2-bit Mimeo's eyes are black-on-white but the quotes needed to be white-on-black at that resolution. I also made a conscious decision not to feature too much of the actual art in the page design since that's primarily what the content will be focused on.
I'm no expert, but that boss music brought a nostalgic tear to my eye. I love it. I felt like I was battling Dr. Wiley while powering up my Contra gun & ducking a Soda Popinski punch.

I almost expected the quotation marks to more closely resemble Mimeo's eyes, since they already look so much like quotes.

Yeah, the resolution switcher is so awesome. I didn't see it until I saw Doug's mention of it, but yeah, awesome. Stellar work.
