Here's a quick thing I whipped up for a charity silent auction. Check out the link below for bigger image and scroll through for the other works I've submitted:
@Chio Diez Thanks! My process pretty much involves drawing up the finished art, digitally retouching it and printing it flipped horizontally out of a laser copier. I then use gel medium (or a similar PVA compound I believe most things like that work) to coat the print out, let that dry completely, then coat my wood surface with the same stuff and lay the print out on top of it, making sure to smooth out any air bubbles. It's best to then leave it overnight to make sure it's completely dry, then I get a little tub of water and wetting the back of the print stuck to the wood I begin to rub off the excess paper to reveal the transfer underneath. I then finish it off with a coat of resin which gives a thick glossy seal effect.
