Final logotype for Lizzar
Lizzar is a platform that offers an unseen opportunity for unsigned artists to be discovered by a large audience and music labels.
Lizzar helps unsigned artists to increase their fanbase and exposure and listeners to discover unsigned music in a unseen way.
The client and I really liked the way how I figured a way to connect the double Z's to convey a handful of music related aspects, such as a big music note, a headphone, a musical note in the ear, a turntables, a 12" record or a disc and even a wink at the lizard's tail xD

To be honest, I really loved the first sketch, why did they feel the need to complicate it?
Love the type in "Discover unsigned music in an unseen way", what type is it? :)
@Gert van Duinen Awesiousness!
@Anders Drage It looks like the font is Gotham.
@Anders @Leon Yep, Gotham Regular with 300% tracking.
I love the treatment, unfortunately the L is unreadable.
@Luke Some liked my first sketch, most of the others love the latest incarnation. That's the way it often goes. Oftentimes I think my initial ideas make sense, but it may give others the impression that I'm making money effortlessly xD
On a first glance, I read LIZZAR. Very interesting.
Would love to a see grid construction, Gert. Great work!
I love it
Dunno about that Gert. To me you are effortlessly good.
Realy good. It looks like a rock band logo from the 70's
All in here is just spot on so so so goooooood!!
Yesh! I like the construction here! I only cannot find the meaning of those ZZ's with appendix?
@Gert van Duinen If it's "effortless" it's only because of your years of experience and much invested time. It takes a lot of consistent dedication on your part and much of your life to be able to produce such solid concepts so "effortlessly". It's no less valuable though, no matter what other people think. Keep up the awesome work!
one of the few milestones.. well said @Sean McCabe :)
Wise words, well said @Sean. Thanks. Take care and please keep up your wonderful work. Thanks.
i really see earbud! the z's create a much narrower space than the original sketch, which may be a reason why the sketch looks better. but overall i think it is a successful mark.
This is super awesome @Gert van Duinen. I'm a big fan of your work. Would you mind creating a small screencast of your logomark design process, start to finish with the circular guides technique? I would love to see that. :)
so good, so great
this is beautiful. It has a completely original visual language to it and well, what a form!
