R.I.P. little buddy.

I have no idea who or what died, but damn did they ever leave a nice tombstone. If this is a killed logo concept I will be very angry at the world.
@Ben Didier - Yeah, just the logo died, but still. Mourning over here.
Sorry about Gusto. Who is it?
But I also wanted to ask a question about your process between your final sketch and this version. I see that your weights changed... is that something that came about after manipulating the vector or was it a stroke/brush technique?
Again, sorry about Gusto and I hope you don't find the question without taste.
@David Silva - Dude, I'm sorry for leaving this so open to interpretation. It's just the logo that got killed, nothing else, lol.
As far as the weight change goes, this guy actually never made it to vectoring. This is just a quick autotrace of a final sketch in Illustrator. The difference in wheight was just built on to the original version in pencil. Here's what the final sketch looked like: http://ha.mrick.me/JyNh
haha! Ok, just trying to be cautious...
And thanks for the sketch, that helps. I have a word mark that I'm exploring. I'm first trying to figure out what shape I want the lettering to take and then second will be adding some weight to it. It's a challenge.
Great flow to it man. RIP
Yah you killed this one. Knocked it out of the park! Looks great!
Others will come after with much more gusto, but for now we are sad to see him go.
Changes, changes, changes, I'm curious if this little guy will ever get real:)
sorry to hear about the death of this logo...now when it reached maturity and total beauty...may it rest in peace.
@David Silva - That's the truth, man. That's what makes it so fun!
@Karli Ingersoll @Dan Dalzotto @Jake Toolson @Jovan Petrić @Keith Tatum - Thanks, guys!
@Sergey Shapiro - It actually did get real, surprisingly. Just not this one. :(
@Florin Capota - Lol, Thanks Florin!
@Ryan Hamrick that sucks man. I loved this one.
Gusto is my dog's name—he'd be honored to have such a killer logo.
love it or die
