   User friendly in terms of using it. The controls on the left could be overtop of the map itself... or completely missing if its for a touch screen.

    There is an app Maps+ which has this thing that shows you the map but no controls on top make it difficult. We're used to Google maps so at the base level we expect the controls to be visible. Try Ghosting the controls.
