- Personally, I'm not really sure about the stitches + font-size (lower part).
- The shot inside the slider is Headbody by Kamil Khadeyev. Thanks buddy.
Just to reiterate: I'm still in my very first year of Web Design, so any kind of critique/feedback will help. Thanks!
Nice shadows and Fonts. I think the Fontsize is ok. I would go withe 1pt more maybe. I'm not sure about using the same texture on and behind the page. Try to use the Grid only behind the page and use a Little noise for the frontside. Hope that helps!
The shadow should be sharper in the middle, cause the paper's closer to the background there. Though, all in all I like it. And I agree that it'll be better to remove grid from the frontside.
I agree with the feedback so far. I like the vertical stitch but it's not centered on the seam and that bothers me a bit. I think it would look cool if you moved it a few pixels to the left so it was just in the shadow. Similar to how Brian Hoff does it for http://www.thedesigncubicle.com/
Great job Milos. Despite some of the other comments, I like what you've done with the inside background; makes everything seem like one piece. Adding 'noise' instead introduces another, new design element. Also not sure what noise would look like when it bumps up against that stitching border.
As always, try a few of everyone's suggestions and do what looks best. You've got a solid start!
About the texture.. it's not the same texture again, it's just the backgrounds texture that is visible since the other thing doesn't have a 100% opacity. But I see where you're going, I'll try changing that in some way, so it looks better.
@Rick I tried exactly that (huge fan of Brians work), but it kinda didn't work very well. Just felt like this version looked better.
@David Thanks. Fonts are "Yanone Kaffeesatz" via Google Font API and the other, small one, is Lucida Grande @ 0.7em/1.8em.. Lucida really only looks good when small... at least in my opinion.

Agree with @Julius, grid on the background looks good, but I would keep it off the background of the content.
Love the fonts in use...what are they ?

Love the font for the subheading. Maybe bump the text size up a hair. Nice job overall!
