This past Spring I was approached by the team at Aol to work on the identity for their new mail product Alto.
They ended up going with an internally developed direction which you can see here, however I was pretty pumped on this guy and wanted to at least share.
If you're not familiar with Alto, head on over to FastCo and read this or this article. Also, a thumbs up to the whole team for their hard work. From my experiece with the product, they're really creating something genuinely geared and useful to someone as visually inclined as myself and I'm assuming most of this community.

Beautiful, unfortunate choice on their part.
Agree with @Ryan Paule. Nice work. I love the color choices of the left-most one.
Nice job on these! Their chosen one is so unfortunate looking.
I like yours more!
Nice work @Mackey Saturday sorry to see this go unused.

Really simple and memorable design; especially the color choice on the left. The design they selected is good, but it’s a lot busier; less easily reproduced, and they talk about “stacking” in their promo video and yet forfeited your stacked logo for a ribbon. Curious.
