I was wondering for a few days about one thing: there are just too much scripters with their breathtaking works and ui/icon/web designers wtih the same thing, but never seen anyone post their real typeface so the question is, how do you write in real and how much do you like it?
I actually do like my handwriting, but I'm practically incapable of writing lowercase letters or in cursive. When I was in high school I had plans to become an architect, so while in some of my preliminary drafting classes I developed the habit of writing in all caps...
My writing typeface as it is today was mainly influenced by my father, who also has a techie handwriting with allcaps, and two more friends from lower school. Sometimes I don't actually have a feeling that it's "mine" but I write like that all the time and I like reading it.
This is what my handwriting looks like when I'm taking notes that I want other people to be able to read. (taken from some sketchnotes I took the other day)
That being said when I don't care if others can read it I usually write in very sloppy cursive. And when I'm not sure if I care I alternate between cursive and a hybrid version of this and cursive. My handwriting "looks" much better when I'm not concerned about others reading it, but it's much harder to read.
Thanks guys for your support, I really appreciate it! Also I invite each other to join the discussion.
@Wojciech Szućko@Maarten Dijk c'mon, guys :)
@Matthew Stenquist it can't be that bad; just look at my letters. They don't even look like letters anymore.
@Dario Calonaci I think that my mix of a 2 year children and Hulk can't be beaten, so I'm waiting for some evidence!
@Garrett Godsey @kevin hamil @Strahinja Todorović @Jess Mass Lol, I feel like I need to start using capitals only too, maybe my teachers would stop complaining. But on the other hand there are women, whose typing always has a 100% of readability, that's so unfair.
@Isaac Fowler yes, I agree with you. Whenever I try to write nicer, my letter try to run out of the line and hide behind each other.
It was really interesting to look at all the rebounds to @Filip Pietroń's handwriting shot, so I thought I'd post my "personal typeface" as well. Written with a Parker fountain pen.
I think that's very interesting how everyone connects some letters. Though it all comes from one source, the outcome is quite different in each one's case :)
A bit late for this Playoff, and this isn't the type of shots I intend to post here on dribbble neither it is its purpose, but I found this one very nice. :)
This is my (ugly) daily typeface. Far from the best, but it's my only option when simple drawings and doodles can't contain enough information.
Pens aren't my best mates, hence the pencil here...
Perhaps I should upload my "artistic" typeface, shouldn't I?

My real "typeface" varies a lot because sometime I will randomly switch to uppercase but for the most part it looks like this.
