Part of several design adjustments i did for Airbnb as a test, they asked me to do. I changed the look and feel of the search bar on the homepage to a darker version.

Looks pretty good! Not sure about the gradient on the first input field, but overall bolder and clearer than it looks now, which is good : )
Looks great. i would however maybe differentiate the text box and the dropdowns. Even just drop the opacity on the text box? Just needs something to show they have different functionality
The white bottom sep in footer is maybe little too bright.. anyway, this is awesome dude!!
I really like the search fields!
Yeah this is way better :)
Nice work Bart. Are you hired by em? if YES, then congrats :)
Update: You could have use icons for those fields. NO?
Whilst it looks nice, given that the homepage will be the biggest entry point for new traffic, I'd suggest that having input fields which are anything other than white is going to confuse enough people that it would convert less effectively than the existing version. I'd worry about the inputs being confused for buttons.
Nice tweak :)
@Tanveer Junayed Thank you mate! I could have used icons indeed, but then there would be icons all over the place so i decided to change it.
@Stuart Frisby Thank you for your feedback! Maybe you are right. The last three inputs are actually drop downs so it's fine to think they are buttons because you have to click on them. About the first input field. I think it will be fine, but good points and thinking. Thank you.
Looks great. However I would differentiate the dropdown menu style to the input fields.
Looks good, and definitely an improvement over the current design. I wouldn't worry about differentiating the dropdowns and input fields - at a first glance I knew immediately what it was. The arrows help too.
nailed it !
Really looks great!

I thought of this idea the other night when I asked myself, "Why can't I just enter 'valentines day' instead of using an annoying date picker to find february 14th?
So, I prototyped it. Try it here: http://michaeljmorgan.net/semantic-date-picker/Home.html
