Part of a larger logotype but this is the part that I'm having a bit of trouble with.
The client was really stoked with the direction overall - I can't say much but it's for a niche, social media tool for geeky people. The only thing was they thought the cat looked a bit shadowy/spy-like.
Suggestions would be wonderful at this point! Cheers.

Nice work, love it :)
Thanks @Steffen Nørgaard Andersen! Any thoughts on the spy-like cat?
Maybe move the eyes a bit closer, other than that I love it :)
It may help adding a heart above the cats head. This may help with the social "Like" element as well. Looks Awesome. Love it.
Thanks for the comments @Steffen Nørgaard Andersen and @derric!
Fantastic. And he's definitely shadowy, but... he's a cat! That's what they do! Although it seems a little more sneaky than shadowy to me. Changing the eyes to something less alert, rather than perfectly round, may help with the shadowy-ness—but I love this inquisitive look, it's so very cat-like!
Thanks @Bambi Edlund. I too think it might be the eyes giving off that look. I'll have to experiment with some more eye options!

I think the cat feels a lot less shadowy here. His eyes look as if he's laughing or happy, which I think is important.
C&C as usual, thanks all.

Looks great. Emotion is definitely controlled through the eyes. I'd play with various shapes of them.
@Terry Dee Yeah for sure! Posted a rebound w/ a different set of eyes.
