Animation for those on mobile devices.
I feel that this series of animated icons were well received by seeing inspired works and rebuilds in CSS. It's really heartening to see people getting inspired by these works. Thanks a lot Dribbble(rs).
To add, by doing this pet project, I learnt a few tricks in motion graphics by making them. My next aim is to build icons like these, but completely in vector. I was relying on sprites and boolean operations to bulid these, now its time to go the vector path. So as an end piece, here is a showdown of all those icons in the series and a new transition in introducing them to canvas. Enjoy ;)

Nice, you put some thought into this :)
Oh, thats great!
Awesome job dude!
@Matt Gentile @Anton Badashov @David Kovalev @Andrea Cau Thanks for the support guys :)
Love all of 'em and the animations, except for the cloud with the rotating arrows. The hick ups in the spinning would give me a feeling that something isn't going smoothly, if you know what I mean. The coffee is still my favorite, it's really good :)
Simply put, these are amazing.
Great love them all :)
where this image was animated ? Nice work (Y)
@Yummygum I got a contrasting opinion when I first showed the loading icon. I personally like the animation, but when looked on it from a communication perspective, I think you are right. In the sense that till now a continuous motion has been the norm, this indeed might be a compromise of communication for artistic expression. Thanks for the nudge, I'll keep it in mind when I design in future.
@Ragnar Võrel @Yuvraj @Nahas
Thanking each of you individually ;)
@Hugo Albönete I used Quartz Composer for the animation works. Thanks !
@Prathyush Yeah, I think it can also vary from situation to situation. If it's a loading animation for a light single file upload, it looks like it's getting stuck. However, I can also imagine that if you're showing this animation when you've just uploaded a bunch of large files which are being process. In that case the non-continuous spinning might convey the 'strength' and 'intellegence' of the process that's going on.
@Prathyush you're welcome, your work inspired me and Arno....sadly, that last set with the truck and box was a bit too challenging...still working on it...
@Thomas Van Der Vennet Would you like the sprites I used for it :) ?
These are awesome! The truck and the coffee are especially epic!
Love it. Haha at the tag - fart!
Looks good! The coffee cup would look more consistent when it isn't an outline though.
The truck animation is so rad! Nice one man :)
Hey bro, where did you go to learn your Quartz Composer skills? All I can find are vjay stuff.
Love it btw.
As for the cloud animation, I think what you did was a better representation of what actually happens when the system is working. It shows the user that the cloud is not just a spinning refresh but it is actively working and doing stuff.
I say keep it.
