Definitely an improvement in my book. While I haven't read your brief, I'd opt for red over blue. To me, most blues feel safe and often conservative, where red is outspoken and passionate: a much more compelling proposition.
Also, I'm not sure why, but I feel like you're somehow missing a trick with this mark. Something is missing that I can't quite put my finger on. Apologies for that incredibly vague statement.
@Robbie - cheers, yeah - my thoughts on the red too.
As for missing a trick - If it suddenly dawns on you - be sure and let me know! :) - I know what you mean, but I'm struggling to find whatever elusive element that might be.
Agree with what Robbie said, love how the Q and C combine, but there's definitely 'something' that it needs, but again I'm not all too sure what to suggest! Maybe it just needs to be in a different shape? Hexagon maybe? Or maybe something asymmetrical? Lovely stuff though!
Thanks - I'll give it a go in some other shapes. THe circle helped to represent a badge, seal, coin, medal, rosette and other things associated with success - but I'll look at some options.

Looking at options for red or blue. Reduced thickness of the outline, and also worked in to the marque a little bit more. Feels stronger now.
