Trade School Vancouver is a community driven school that runs on barter.
A few months ago, I put out a call for help on twitter to start up Trade School in Vancouver (if you don't know Trade School has locations around the world already: www.tradeschool.coop)
Since then, our ragtag team of 8 has worked to make it a reality, and boy is it. We're just getting ready to start sending out a call for teachers to propose classes soon!
@Zach Bulick and I collaborated on the mark, with the whole team contributing to the brand (they are some smart folks).
The mark itself takes the tradition of a school crest and gives it a modern spin. We incorporated the waves of the BC flag, the bell of the global Trade School brand, and a triangle referencing our key purposes: Learn, Connect, and Share. Our personal triforce, if you will.
If you're in Vancouver, I'd say you should follow along… because it's going to be pretty damn awesome.

i like the design and the type you have used on the website.
Cheers! That's a splash page I just whipped up for the newsletter. We'll have a full site soon with class listings and whatnot!
Everything you touch is inspiring on so many levels. I love the whole concept of this. Already signed up for the newsletter :)
That's super thoughtful! Thanks Brandon :)
That balls hard man! Also, late happy Turkey Day
very very cool. will have to tell my friends in van. excellent logo too, and hott subtle wavy background. likey!
also: totally interested in discussing your experiences around setting this up. the concept is great, and I think would be a great addition to the scene in Seattle.
@Graham Stinson Definitely! Hit me up any time. Seattle would be an awesome spot for this. We could start the Cascadia Bartering Educational System.
Nice clean lines, sir. Really cool you got this off the ground.
Very cool concept for Vancouver.
