I think the curves on the first are beautiful.
Very cute - I agree about pulling the chest out. Head looks a little sea-horsey. Love the line-work though, Bobby.
The third one looks so much like it has a mouth that it's all I can see in the other two as well. I think I prefer the earlier full-chested version.
What if you added a bend to the top of the flame?

I think James might have a point. The flame and foreground wing might benefit from a curve, that makes them look in motion/more flame like?
