I'm designing a custom 'daggar' to indicate detail elsewhere related to the text, here are a few initial designs. Feedback welcome, especially as to how i clean them up...
I think the ones that have the line dividing two faces of the blade seems like too much detail, BUT it's hard to really tell since it's not against the text.
Counting from left to right, top to bottom, I think the 3rd one looks most identifiable to a dagger and I like the solid blade it has. The first one is nice too, but it feels a bit Mediterranean.. not sure if that's what you're going for. I also like the last one, kind of a mix between the 1st and 3rd.
And it may not matter once it's placed with the text, but I think you will have to make sure it's not mistaken for a cross rather than a dagger.
Good work though. Interested to see the final result.
