14 — Overgrown

I sprint into the overgrowth, chasing shadows. As my eyes adjust to the light I see someone slide behind a tree. I climb, slowly, patiently stalking my prey.

As I hit the peak, I gasp. It’s another woman, she’s breathing heavily. So deeply I can see her whole body moving with the breath.

She turns. Looks me in the eyes. Her breathes halt.
