Yes, it is exactly what it looks like.
I would love to run with this but I don't think it conveys that sense of nurturing I'm looking for. I love the boldness of it though.

So the issue is the political correctness of it. Planned parenthood would most likely not want a PR storm that would follow a logo like that, no matter how nice. Plus I think that you hit the nail on the head with the nurture and caring aspect that they would most likely want to emphasis verses genitals.
I spy a penis! I personally liked the blue logo much more.
This is brilliant on so many levels
I like the part where it looks like a uterus, and a wang.
It's also is similar in shape to an IUD.
It looks like I'm staring into Gonzo's face.

Thanks for all the feedback. This is kind of where I stand now.
Planned Parenthood has a political arm that serves as their agenda group called their Action Fund. So since the mark on the left is such a bold and aggressive logo, I’m going to stick with that. Yes I realize using a uterus/penis combo is not very PC but given their stance and policies, I believe they need a logo that instills strength and solidarity through a strong, controversial mark. There is no getting away from what they do and sugar coating a topic such as this is counterproductive.
The other one will be for all their other services like education and healthcare. There’s a shield in there if you missed it.

You knew that this perfectly looks like penis, right?
Jeez. I love this. The logo, not penis.
This is enormously clever. And if you say they'd go for the boldness of it, then more power to them.
All due respect, I'm going to neutralize this ... but it also looks like something else other than what everyone is thinking ... it could be both ... ;) Clever.
