@Andy Thanks! Yes, but everyones cogs are tapered. This one will never have to work so, there is some creative freedom to make it still be cogish/gearish but not be exactly like a real one and therefore looking like a lot of other people's cogs & cogish logos.
Hey chad. I don't think uniqueness is a strong point in this case, as you have plenty of other details to differentiate your mark from others. Tapered teeth would have eased cognitive interpretation by a fraction. ie: it would have looked more like a cog.

I didn't take that into account. I might have to try playing with the edges of the cog now just because you made me look at it. :) Not sure.
