I was busy in the Spring working on two collections for Amazon and I'm so excited that the first one, The Complete Novels of Jane Austen will be out Oct 2. The set is now on Amazon.com . Crazy to see it up there but I can't wait to have it in hand. I was pretty scared about doing an illustration project so big and different but it was a great learning experience (albeit a bit scary at times). A few more sneak peaks are on my site.

Wow, incredible. You have some serious talent! Nice job!
Incredible, Jacqui! Can't wait to see them in print.
Thank-you kindly @Chris Wallace! and @Troy Cummings . It was such a learning experience trying to focus more on inking lines rather than colour and paint.
beautiful! this only kept you busy in the spring?!?
Jacqui, those colors and texture always make me staring at, sure illustrations as they are, ammazing!
Yeah, it was a nutty deadline @Graham Stinson since they wanted it out for the Christmas. I holed myself up in the studio for a bunch of weeks and lived off of a lot of Chinese take-out and magically it got done. I was shocked myself.
@Sergey Shapiro - thank-you!
Jane Austen's books have naval battles?
I love those waves.
Man, what a project! That is awesome! Congratz on a great gig and everything looks beautiful!
Navy battles were part of my contract @Andrew Brozyna . There's is a handsome gentleman caller navy officer in one of the books and so it was a good reason to slide it in there. A nice change from drawing bonnets and fields!
@Joshua - thank-you! I enjoyed working on those.
@Derrick Castle - Thanks! I was so excited but so nervous when I got this job. Luckily the designers who hired me were very encouraging and once we got into the flow of things it was fine. I still can't believe it's done.
@Jacqui Oakley exactly! I feel like I'd be totally overwhelmed if offered something like this. But when you have the goods like yourself, you knock it out of the park... no denying that!
That's super nice of you to say @Derrick Castle . Thanks so much.
Absolutely amazing Jacqui, really impressive project. From the sneak peaks, everything looks so beautiful – both individual pieces and the set as a whole. Really can't wait to see more of this when it comes out!
@Claire Coullon thanks so much! I was really lucky to get the opportunity to work on these. Here's a peak at the packaging by The Book Designers: http://bookdesigners.com/projects/the-complete-novels-of-jane-austen . I also did the Sherlock Holmes Collection which will be out in November. Phew! Can't believe that all got done!
Ahh, that is so, so nice. That's just an insane amount of work.. but I can't imagine how amazing it will be when you have both collections in your hands! So worth it.
@Claire Coullon - Thank-you. Yes, I can't wait to get the books! Still waiting......
This is hot. Your style is something I find extremely awesome. I'll be debuting my first shot soon... Maybe someday we can collaborate on something together. Can't wait to see more!
