It may just be the cropping on these shots, but the horn (nose?) looks huge. Also, in the 8-bit version, it looks like your missing the rounded, darker shade edge under that same object that's present in the 4bit and 16bit versions.

The horn is huge (they're like half the length of a narwhale's body). It's the only thing differentiating it from a generic blob with flippers. And without the third segment (if I were to shorten it) it reads a beak rather than a grooved horn.
The 8-bit is missing the shading because I ran out of colors. Two blues, a white, and a tan was all she wrote.
