took the last design and am now toying with a bit on a wood. I think the wood needs to be a little more aged, but good sample for the client to get a feel of where it might go.
Looks great etched on wood Mike. I think looking at it again, I like this original "m" better. It flows better with the other letters. Hope they'll choose this as their logo.
@Jason Johnson , @Cage , @Simon™ (nice wood joke) +|:-), @Michelle Casanova , @Nate Eaton , @Inka Mathew (thx for the wood suggestion, by the way.) @Jovan Petrić (I just haven't had the time lately for the breakfast sketching, but I will. THX for the nice comment.) and @Rudy Pollorena Jr. thanks for all the nice comments and suggestions on this design direction, it really helped. Unfortunately they have chosen to go with another design. The rough part for me was, I thought I was the only designer working on the project, but apparently a friend of the owner came in with a design and they went with it. Even their marketing manager didn't see that one coming. But got paid at least for most of my time. but none the less a bit disappointed. I know some of you have had the same thing happen. At least I have, so no worries all part of the gig sometimes. Cheers, for all the support on the design though.
@Inka Mathew I hear ya! Oh its happen before, but it isn't a smart way to get a team built within the company, that's for sure.
The marketing person was a tad upset. But I guess something like that happened to him before. One of those owners that says they're out of the way, but not really. :)

wow, this is brilliant. And ingrained into the wood like that seems so fitting.

Aww, that sucks, Mike. That's not a good business practice :-( It's a bad taste for their Marketing Manager too.

Well, that blows. You never know when a friend of a friend is going to come along. Nice work regardless.
