   A really simple combination of pixel patterns gives the button a paper-y look. It's cool when simple things combine in interesting ways.

   Tight! The center-only shadow is making it look as though it's bulging in the middle. Not sure if that's what you're going for- just my 1 cents...(totally cheesy but i had to say it ;)

   Yeah, I'm going for the bulge in the middle. The pressed state will be pressed in w/ the edges lifted. But I still think it's missing a little something. Luckily it's an early WIP so I have time to play around with it.
