Like it. When I think of "location" I think go, land, drive, and I think green represents that more. =D

You'll have to get rid of that glow unfortunately. It goes past the boundaries of the canvas.
I know, it's only to emphasise the icon on the dark background. ;)
the point where the round section of the pin and the leg of the pin seem too sharp. Maybe a rounder shape will be better. also, rather than a glow on the pin, try a subtle shadow instead? right now it looks blurry and dreamy :D
