I think the shadows need to be the other way round to make the 'V' look like the first character of the monogram. Love the second version though, best out the two.
I like the color one, but the way the shadow of the C overlaps the V makes the bottom part of the V look goofy. If the C overlapped on the top part (like in the b/w version) there wouldn't be that little weird spot on the bottom of the V.
they're both super sexy. splitting hairs for me. I prefer the framing of the monogram in the first, but prefer the monogram in the second, but understand they wouldn't work if you combined them. Agree with your simplicity comment and what I love about the simplicity of these, is the way it accentuates the shadows. Great work!
Amazing simplistic pieces you create right there. Congrats! Those horizontal left and right bars in the second version aren't aligned symmetric to the circle. The left one is a little outside than the right one.
I'd go for the orange one, but I'm not too sure about the outlines on the leaves. I'd do both the logo and the leaves solid or both with outlines, but the solid logo with gradients and the outlined leaves are too much of different styles.

Your line weights are always so perfectly in harmony with your font weights. So good.

Love the gray VC. Although the rounded lines on each side don't feel fully thought out. Are they necessary?
