    My personal preference is the centered sun, but I think the left aligned would probably make more sense if you take into consideration the way the light is casting on the side of the mountain.

    This is great! I've gotta say that I prefer the sun on the left... like @Nick Dominguez said, the way the light reflects works best with it there, and I like that the deer is looking back at the sun. I don't know why, but for some reason it feels more "right," if that makes sense, haha.

    I would vote for option #2 - makes more sense with the shading on the mountain. Very cool logo, nice work!

    I vote for option 2 - goes with the shading and also breaks the symmetrical just a tad.

    Man this is such a toss up on which one is best, both are solid and have merit but I think option 2 is just different that the norm and the off-centeredness of the sun is pretty rad.

    I vote for the sun to the side. If looking at the sun dead on, the deer would be more fuzzy than defined.

    Would be nice to swap out the deer for a dinosaur.

    I really like the sun to the left. It is balanced just right with the buck. With the sun in the center it seems like you're communicating either superiority or holiness of the buck.

    And of course, like @Nick Dominguez the lighting on the mountains.

    Have you considered flipping the deer so its silhouette is a 'h' ?

    @Barry Redford That's a good suggestion, I will give it a shot.

    Great stuff. I love the simplicity of the whole thing and especially the stag. I like the left because of the focus being on the animal with the sun centered and how it ties the word "hunting" into the animal being hunted. Because the whole illustration/crest is centered, the left aligned sun rays seem to draw my attention away from the readability slightly. When it's centered my eye travels straight down and back up.

    I also think that if you do grunge, go all out and increase the contrast of the grunge and specs. Otherwise, go clean. Either way, grunge or not, it look sick!

    Great shot. Great feedback as well.
