PITCH Football World Cup 2018

Football is something that unites a nation, and it was same for our team during our hackathon 2018, where we crafted Pitch, the score predictor app for the Football World Cup. Pitch allowed users to play along and make final score predictions for each World Cup match, and compete against other users for the league top spot. Each user received three points for a correct score, and one point for a correct result.

As a team of four, we collaborated to create this project in it’s entirety. From the ‘Pickles’ font (named after the famous trophy finding dog), illustrated 64 team kits and caricatures of their most prominent players, to the user interactions, design system and development of the PWA app with Google and Facebook integration. My contributions included planning user journeys, wireframing, designing user interactions, producing the design system, and building the static pages.

70+ signed up users across the South West. Not too bad for a hackathon designed and launched by a team of four, inside two weeks.
