Love the case study and the thought you put into this, but there's a little too much color in the top portion of this and the modules containing the current song looks like a banner ad. Sorry!

@Ted Goas thanks for the feedback. Maybe I agree with you on the too much colour for the volume slider. The central window I made it look like a screen, a glowing one.

I don’t mind some colour on an interface. There’s a trend going on with everything muted/monochromatic and dark UI. Sometimes it’s appropriate, to not distract from main purpose (example: Photoshop, CS Suite), but for a music player, I like it vibrant. Also, it matches the album covers which are also rich in colour and contrast.

Awesome work! I love the composition.
But why don't you try a gradient in the upper green bar? Just a suggestion.

@Pedro Agustín Cela you mean for the window that shows the title? It sort of has a local gradient around the title, making it stand out. I also wanted to make it look like a screen, hence the hard light reflection.

I know what you mean and I agree, it looks great that part. But if you look to the design itself, the title bar highlights more than the album artworks. That could confuse the "eye" of the people.
