Another concept for the pet accessory boutique "Unleashed". I like where this is at, but I'm open to thoughts on where the leash intersects the type. Having it cut off with a straight line seems a little unfinished to me, but I've also been staring at this for awhile now. Anyway, thoughts?
That looks lovely Phil, has a real 'retro' look to it which I like.
As for your conundrum with the leash, I don't know what to suggest. Either curl it behind the text but reduce the opacity so it doesn't interfere with the text OR feather the current ends out so it fades out behind the text,
I honestly love the whole thing, except the font. I don't think it has the weight needed to make the name really pop; but overall I really like this style.
@Anthony - I'm trying to keep this mark at it's most basic level 1 color, so it needs to hold up on it's own without any fading or gradients. I will probably do some multi color options that allow me to explore those options.
@Jesse - I had the same thought after I uploaded it and saw it at a smaller size. I'll probably try out other typefaces and see where that takes me.
the leash stopping abruptly in thin air was bothering me, and i tried neuva std to add a bit of weight and flair to the type. let me know what you think.
I really liked this font version of the logo and think it would work if added to this seal logo. I think you had a great thing going with this version of the font and it stands alone with out the seal. But adds something more like what Jesse was saying.
What if the leash curl (right now it starts to twist before it gets to the words) didn't fold over, so the curl just comes to a point? Maybe, if that doesnt work, keep the fold over but the inside of the leash is just an outline, and not filled in?
I never noticed an issue until you mentioned it so honestly I think it's fine. Unfortunately you can't fade it or it loses the one color capability.
I think Jonathan Bowden's rebound is a nice solution, but I'd tend toward Eddie Wilson's idea. Twist the leash to a point. I wonder what it'd look like with Jesse's suggestion of new type? Perhaps use the font everybody was swooning about...
Shouldn't the chain (the part that would connect to the dogs collar) be open? It would make sense to me since the place is called "unleashed". Other than that I love it.

I don't particularly think the type needs to be any heavier. I find it rather balanced as it is. Nice work. :)

@Rogie - I'm going to try out the leash to a point idea and see where that goes. Also going to look at other typefaces.
@Kyle - Interesting idea, I'll see how that looks. Thanks!
