Earlier today, we launched our resources page. As some of you may know, our blog is dedicated to helping you and your website improve, and for a while now, we've posted quality resources in there.

Now, they've all (some old, some new) been given their own home, and a few new resources have been added. So go check it out! https://www.gosquared.com/resources/

In the spirit of free resources, you'll find the box icon attached. As usual, any feedback is appreciated.

Perspective is one big criticism I keep getting on 3 dimensional rects. Soon, I started understanding more and more about the same.

I still don't feel I'm in a strong position to say anything, but yes, the perspective towards the top surface of the box (open end) looks off.

@Nikh What would you do to improve it?

@Eli Schiff Given the current perspective guide, I'm guessing the further out edge of the box should start tapering inwards. A good idea is to draw a cube in Illustrator (using the 3D effect-bevel option) and then exporting that shape into Photoshop. Has always rendered a proper 3D rect for me.

@Nikh Good point. Upon looking at his the PSD included here I think that he was honest in using a @Jackie Tran resource as his reference for the box rather than a 3D object.

@Eli Schiff Here's something I quickly made: Rendered the shape in AI and then painted each visible surface of the rect in photoshop and added a faux-shadow. http://cl.ly/JGHT
