   @Doney den Ouden I don't think they're copying you to be honest, for example this twitter app used a birdhouse as its icon since 2009-2010 https://twitter.com/TwibaApp . I think a bird house icon is pretty synonymous with twitter by now.

    It's nice, but for me the metaphor is lost. It no longer looks like a birdhouse!? More like the back pocket on a pair of jeans.

    If you showed this to someone who hadn't seen the original (a luxury shared by everyone here), would they know what it is?
