Attached a slightly improved version based on some excellent feedback
over 1 year ago
like it @Haziq Mir
This is great.. Nice colors..
The "Add Post" button seems a bit flat vs. the tags..
I like it more
@Haziq Mir Looks great, bro :)
Really like the design and gray color contrast...
But i'm not sure about that Facebook switch. It makes me think that i have to choose between Facebook and a check mark. Then after a second i released that check mark means "on"... I don't think you need a check mark, the green color on the switch may be enough to emphasize it ?.. :)
Looks so nice!
Nice work mr H
Nice shot, love that buttons :)
Nice work! Whats the tick used for with the facebook slider?
Thank you, everyone! You're all too kind. :)
@Tahir Yuksel @Vinny Singh It actually turns on Social Sharing to Facebook. The client had me remove the helper text.
YOUR SHIT SEXY
@Haziq Mir nice bro
Like it a lot. Only thing bugging me is, those texts seems very messy.
Don't worry! It's may be only me.
nice man! guess @Tanveer Junayed referring to the drop down text. he has a point!
Neat and Clean
Looks nice overall, but I would like to make a few compliments/critiques on some of the details.
1. The Odd Red Button
"Add Post" button has a rather flat style compared to other elements. The toggle and the other button style under the lifestyle heading have gradients on them. I would suggest adding a soft gradient on the Add Post button.
It also lacks consistent lighting and shading. The toggle knob and the grey buttons casts shadows, while this remains flat with no shadow at all. I feel that this is a bit odd, since both of them occupy the same surface.
Also, contrast for the button is a little too stark in my opinion. Of course, judging without knowing the context here, but I feel it gets all the attention in the UI. Once a user starts using an interface, I think he will quickly have a mental model about the functions and he will remember the location to access them. Unsure if this much contrast is requisite. If it's like a one-time use site, might be required, but it all depends on the context in the end.
2. Alignment Issue (Tentative)
The underline below "My Interests" is unaligned with line on the left. If the line on the left is a divider between scrolling tiles, consider this point void.
3. Confusing Toggle
I seriously suggest changing the toggle to a checkmark with a Facebook sharing icon to the left of it. Currently, it seems like toggling between two social networks rather than turning on Facebook sharing.
4. Text Rendering
I know Adobe Text Engine is the culprit here, but I suggest making these pixels a bit more aligned. If you have XCode Developer Tools, I can suggest a way to bring in better AA to these texts, but if you don't, the best course I would suggest is to set the anti-aliasing method to Smooth in Photoshop and then using the Transform tool, nudging it in sub-pixels.
1. Consistent Look
Really liking the overall consistent look and how the layout flows. Also, liking the colors that you have used, except the red button.
2. Drop Down Style
Totally loving this drop down style and the subtle highlights and shadows that you have used.
I acknowledge that it's easy to throw stones at works when I'm not the creator. I do appreciate and value the effort you are sweating out on these pixels when the client is looking over your shoulder to raise the pressure. Making these critiques out of hope that this would help you to make a better product that you enjoy making, your client enjoys selling, your users enjoys using.
@Prathyush Pramod Thanks, man. I appreciate you taking the time to review such a small shot and critiquing it.
I agree with you on most of your points and I am going to fix it asap. There are a couple of things which I can't change, however, for example, the red color. It's the brand color. I have no control over it.
Thanks again! :)
Looking good so far Haziq :)
@Prathyush Pramod excellent feedback!
@Prathyush Hi, what did you mean with
"If you have XCode Developer Tools, I can suggest a way to bring in better AA to these texts"
I always find it annoying to have to fix the type when exporting shots from PS.
I must say I am impressed. And I am not easily impressed! :) I'm eager to look at the full thing! Keep em' coming! :)
Great use of greys to break the page up
