Packaging for Soy Milk

🥛 “NOT MILK” soy milk packaging differentiates itself from ‘dairy’ in an attractive and accessible way. The consumer is made to question ‘regular’ milk, asking “why would regular milk be a problem?”. This is answered on the flip side of the carton, presenting the viewer with the health, environmental, and ethical benefits of soy milk.

I developed a nature-like visual language which identifies the product as natural, plant-based milk -different from animal milk. The illustration uses curvillinear line and a playful repetition of form, presenting a tone that is friendly and accessible. The design communicates the processes behind the production of soy beans and their milk: soy beans, crop fields, leaves. The highly dynamic landscape produces the idea of a sense of bubbling and churning.
