I have been working on my own rebranding for quite some time now (13 months 9 days and 5 hours and 58 min) and have come up with quite a few variations of my own mark. Some I'm happy with and some not so much. I would like to post some more versions in time to come as it involves a slight name change (since registering chanpion.co) as well as designing a whole new website.

I recently acquired a set of Tombows and have been practicing on it with my new business name. So feel free to pick it to pieces guys as it is nothing concrete. Yes, this doofus is still my worst client. Cheers!

Looking great Chan :); love the brush pen style this is definitely a great direction for you; very nice letterforms, that n terminal swash is a very nice touch! Seems to me that the p bowl could be tad taller and also letter i.
Also it's true that creating a logo for ourselves is one of the most painful tasks ever :)); You did a great job on this one, curious to see the other directions :)

Beautiful work. The incorporation of the star is a nice touch given the play on words. The 'h' appears visually lighter than other letters, probably because of the space between the stem and shoulder. You might be able to get away with a small optical adjustment to the weight of the stem. The other thing I see is that the stem of the 'p' appears heavy, and that's probably because of the curve into the bowl.

Nice. I'm not sure if the yellow star fits it.

@Chanpion aka @Norman Chan - Don't feel like a doofus. I had to Google 'Tombows'. Looking good.

    Thanks fellas!
@Matt Vergotis Thanks buddy, glad ya like my stitch work! I was working on collateral for 'the Frisky Goat' and there was a part I had to present their embroidered uniforms so I used the same software for this cos I thought the finished sample was pretty nifty!
@Florin Capota Cheers Flor and thanks for the heads up! Will adjust the 'i' (man that looks short now that I look at it!) and the 'p'. Good to have a keen eye, thanks man.
@Jeff Jenkins Damn! Never saw that! The p stem definitely looks thicker then the h stem. There was always something that looks out of sorts but can't pinpoint what it was. Cheers bud!
@Forsuregraphic The star was originally where the dot for the 'i' was but it looked tacky. Since I'm getting rid of the 'Cup' as my insignia I wanted something else to represent that 'winning' feeling. I eventually did the swash with a star so it represented that 'Usain Bolt' moment. Nevertheless this is only prelim, so it may stay or it may not. Thanks for the thought tho.
@Colin Tierney Cheers pal, still working on a few versions and will post them for comments in time to come!
@Simon™ Haha, thanks Sime! Your natural skills override a Tombow brush any day mate!

I know it's a lot of hard work in it, but I honestly like your old logo better (http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/9686) because it's more unique, special and memorable than this one in my opinion.
The ambigram version (http://dribbble.com/shots/426345-Pending-Project) is also very cool.

This version has really beautiful type and I love your stitching. Great lineflow and C looks awsome! I only don't like the star, I think it's better without it.
    Good luck!

    Nice flow bruva! Congrats!

I also agree with @Luka Balic that is your older logo stronger in terms of originality.

@Luka Balic Thx mate! Yeah, still keepin the old look for the time being bud. Until I can come up with something more satisfying that is. This one is just one of the few variations (just like the ambigram one) I have come up with so far. Will post another one soon. Let me know what ya think!
@Jovan Petrić Cheers pal! Yes, will still be lugging that trophy around for awhile yet me thinks ;-)

  16. And the journey continues.

This is another version which is pretty close to what I'm achieving. A more simplified cup with the simplified name. The dot on the 'i' has been relocated to the front and in gold. A subtle reference on my design's 'winning' formula. Name and mark are designed to hold its own when used separately.

I'm really late to this and I see you've done some further exploration since, but had to add that I really love this one. The lettering style is fantastic (... that 'C'!) and I really like the underline, especially how it's split up by the 'p'. That said, the rebound you've posted since looks really good too so going to have a look at that properly now.
