   Loving how this is coming together Rick! If I had one suggestion, I'd say use a lighter grey for the ampersand. It feels as though it's competing just a wee bit too much with 'Coffee' and 'Sushi'.

   I really wouldn't sweat the lack of control in your sketches. This is awesome.

   All cute baby ideas in our head must suffer through the sketchy teenage idea-phase before growing into mature handsome ideas.

   I'm sure we all have photos from middle school to prove it too :)

   It was probably just my imagination, but the original sketch looked like it had a bit of depth. I saw it as being slightly embossed with subtle reflective elements.
